The Human Experience

LIFE HAS MEANING. You convey meaning to your life with each breath you take, and it acquires meaning through you as you experience more of life with each passing moment of your existence. It is an exquisite sense of belonging and fulfillment to be at the center of life and to let everybody else be at the center of their life. Everyone is precisely where they want to be, and from where we are we have access to all there is to be experienced and comprehended. The choice is ours and it is why we have chosen to live in such a diverse world. Diversity of experience is the mark and strength of the human experience.

To me, a human life, any human life, short or long, pleasurable or arduous, filled with great accomplishment or devoid of it, can only make sense if we situate it within a wider context, that of the validity of our expanding eternal being. Who you are in this physical body, in this time and space is an exquisite expression of who you truly are. And who you truly are is a work in progress. There is no end to you, nor a beginning, only a continuous becoming.

Each of us has a special purpose in life. It is to joyfully fulfill our own unique abilities in such a way that benefits all others. You are the world manifested through you. There is a feeling about yourself that makes sense only to you. That feeling is the creator of your reality and, collectively, it contributes to the creation of the world we live in. We have, individually and collectively, the ability to project our thoughts into physical form; to create different realities, to perceive and experience them, and to learn and grow from them. Our eternal individuality and existence, what we sometimes like to call our soul, is expressing itself through our present personality. The latter is who you recognize as yourself in this life; the former is who you truly are and becoming. It is from this eternal, expanded perspective that we can enlarge our concept of reality and experience genuine happiness as human beings.
